On the morning of April 23, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court held a press conference to report the developments of the court’s judicial protection on intellectual property in 2019, and released fifteen exemplary cases of the year. Among them, the preliminary injunction case (technically called “a pre-suit action preservation”) between Astellas Pharma and Hisun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which was jointly represented by our firm and China Sinda IP Ltd., was selected as one of the exemplary cases of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court in 2019 and listed as No. 1 case among the totally fifteen cases.

Another indication of the importance of the case is that the Chinese Supreme People’s Court, in its just published annual write paper, specially identifies the case as a “new type” and “difficult and complex” case.
